Warranty for Lamp Bases

We offer a 1-year warranty at no extra cost on our lamp bases.

In an unlikely scenario, if you need to report a fault with a lamp base bought directly from us, please send us an email at customerservice@grehom.com. Please quote your invoice or order number, product code and date of purchase when you contact us. You'll find all this information on your original receipt or delivery note, which acts as your guarantee, so please keep it safe. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

In your email, please provide a brief description of the problem in your lamp base and if possible attach a video or photo to show the problem. If we need to recall your lamp base for further inspection, then you must be willing to pack it and ship it to us. We will provide you with shipping labels and packaging material. We will repair your item and ship it back to you at our own cost to the delivery address specified in the original order.

In the event that we could not find any fault with the lamp base, we will need to recover all the direct costs associated with return of the lamp base and its cost of inspection. If you want the lamp base to be returned to you, we will charge shipping costs as well.

If we can't repair your item, we may replace it with an equivalent item. If no equivalent item is available, we'll either offer you the nearest equivalent or its original selling price value, and we'll always do our best to make sure you're satisfied with the outcome.


YOUR WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER:

  • Accidental damage, for example if your lamp base has been dropped. You may find that this type of damage is covered by your household contents insurance policy
  • Accidental damage, for example, the ring on the holder has been tightened too much to snap the wires inside the holder
  • Consumables such as light bulbs, etc.
  • If the lamp base has been used commercially or for business purposes
  • Cosmetic damage such as trim, scratches, dents, corrosion, fraying of flex or colour bleed where the function of the product is unaffected
  • Any loss suffered as a result of not being able to use the lamp base, or any loss over and above the purchase price of the original lamp base
  • Servicing, inspecting or cleaning of the lamp base,
  • Modification or unauthorised repair of the lamp base including tampering with the cork top, bulb holder and grommets
  • Deliberate damage or neglect of the lamp base, being exposed to a corrosive environment
  • Damage caused by electrical supply conditions, including supply spikes, over-voltage/under-voltage and ripple current control systems that are beyond the specified limits of the lamp base and those set or defined by relevant supply standards for the lamp base
  • Our guarantees provide services for lamp bases bought and used only in the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands
